2 Corinthians 4:17-18

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

Some people seem to be surprised when Christians have trouble in their lives. They seem to think that God builds a hermetically-sealed bubble around us so we are protected from the evils of the world. Jesus doesn't promise that our lives are magically perfect when we become Christians. He does promise that we will spend eternity in Paradise and that it'll be worth the troubles we experience on Earth.

So, when life seems to be getting the best of you, take comfort in the assurance that Heaven will be worth the wait!
